Pune is second in disposing of cases

Pune came second in disposing of cases in the one-day Maha Lok Adalat held on Sunday. Nagpur was first with the highest disposal of 84,599 cases, while Pune cleared 43,592 cases. As per data, 30,145 cases were disposed of in Mumbai.

According to statistics provided by the Maharashtra State Legal Aid Services Authority (MSLSA), a total of 2,40,179 cases were disposed of in a day across the state through the Alternate Disputes Resolution (ADR) forum. The disposal included civil, criminal, cheque bounce, land acquisition and cases under
other laws.

VR Kachare, deputy secretary of MSLA, Mumbai, informed DNA, “Apart from Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai, Thane ranked fourth by disposing of 14,699 cases, while Solapur was next by
resolving 14,133 cases. In other areas of the state, some 3,000-5000 cases were resolved.
