Venkatesh Mahajan senior college will be organising the late Pramod Mahajan Memorial Intercollegiate debate competition here from December 26 to 27.
"The college has been organising the competition since two years but from this year we have decided to extend the scope of this competition to national level," said Milind Patil, executive president of Tapasvi Charitable Trust, which is running the college.
The competition will be held in three languages -- Marathi, Hindi and English, he said.
The competition will be inaugurated by Rekha Mahajan, widow of late Pramod Mahajan whereas daughter Poonam will be present for the prize distribution ceremony.
