PMC to felicitate Brahmakumari chief

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will felicitate chief administrator of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (PBIV), Rajyogini Brahmakumari Dadi Jankiji, on Saturday on the occasion of PBIV’s diamond jubilee.

Speaker of the state legislative assembly, Dilip Walse Patil, will felicitate Dadi Jankiji with a citation, said mayor Mohansingh Rajpal on Thursday. The felicitation will take place at Balgandharva Rangmandir at 5 pm.

Director of Pune centre of PBIV, Nalini Didi, said Dadi Jankiji (95) has been associated with the PBIV since its inception and has been the chief of the PBIV since August 2007. She had worked in Pune for 16 years since 1951.

PBIV has its headquarters in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. It has more than 8,500 centres spread all over the world in 130 countries, in which nine lakh people practice Rajyoga.
