Airport officials in Mumbai went into a tizzy for a while today as the pilot of a Hong Kong-Mumbai Kingfisher aircraft pressed the hijack button accidentally.
However, the flight is safe and will land soon, airport sources said.
On realising his error, the pilot got in touch with Air Traffic Control officials in Mumbai, and later the flight was cleared for landing, they said.
The exact number of passengers onboard the international flight could not be ascertained immediately.
