Nurse, man killed in bike accidents

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a road accident on the Western Express Highway in Kandivli (East) on Monday afternoon. Deepali Sutar, who worked as a nurse in a hospital in Malad, was riding pillion on a bike. She and her friend Mansuk Patel were on their way to Malad. They were hit by a tempo near the Sai Dham Mandir.

Patel lost control and the two of them fell on the road. Sutar sustained serious head injuries. “She was taken to Bhagwati Hospital but was declared dead on arrival,” said A Kenjale, senior inspector, Samata Nagar police station.
