Mira Road’s suspected horror dad Kishore Chauhan has told the police in his confessional statement that while his wife Anjana did not know he was raping their older daughter, his wife Anjana allowed tantrik Hasmukh Rathod to rape their older daughter without his knowledge.
Chauhan said he always harboured a suspicion about his wife’s relationship with Rathod. “I had a doubt that my wife was involved with Hasmukh Rathod, but I was absolutely unaware she had also forcibly dragged in my older daughter,” Chauhan reportedly told the police.
“Rathod told me to have a physical relationship with my daughter. Initially I was not ready, but my financial condition forced me to obey him. My wife had no idea. I used to rape my older daughter when Anjana was away at work. I used to threaten her not to tell her mother. My daughter always resisted me, but I continued to rape her,” Kishore has reportedly told the police.
In his statement, Chauhan has said his wife knew Rathod before marriage and he used to visit their home in a Santa Cruz chawl.
According to the police, Chauhan said friends and neighbours told him that Rathod used to visit his home in his absence. Chauhan, however, kept mum as he was poor and worried about his family’s future if his wife’s affair became public.
“It is not as if I had given consent to my wife,” police said he told them. “We used to fight on this issue, but I kept silent for the girls’ sake.”
According to the police, Chauhan knew Anjana used to go to Rathod’s Juhu home while he was away at work. He reportedly said he even got to know one day that she had taken their older daughter. He wanted to question his wife but claimed he didn’t because he thought Rathod was a tantrik and whatever he did would bring them prosperity.
