Nigdi residents flay PCMC for poor water supply

Residents of Nigdi-Pradhikaran area are sore with the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for poor supply of water in the area. The residents are getting water at a low pressure since the last couple of weeks.

Moreover, the supply of water in the evening has become erratic. A resident of Yamunanagar sector 21, Mrunalini Patil, told DNA that it was surprising that the civic body is unable to supply water properly.

Most of the residents of sectors 27, 28, 24 also complained about insufficient water supply. The residents said though the PCMC had started a helpline (67339999) recently for water supply complaints, it takes a lot of time to get connected. 
According to the PCMC ward A officer, Mustfa Phadnis, water pipeline work was carried out recently. Hence, the water supply of the area was affected.
PCMC water supply department executive engineer, Pravin Ladkat, told DNA that the department has received several complaints from Yamunanagar, especially from the residents of Kirloskar Colony. “We will inspect the spot immediately and solve the problem,’’ he assured.
