The rave party in a flat in Malad busted by the Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) had led to recovery of top quality smoking pipes which are said to be imported.

Three such pipes were found, which were being used to smoke hashish and marijuana at the party.

The tobacco used for mixing was also of the finest quality and the accused told police that they had got it from a northern state.

One of the seized pipes is made of rare stone and wood is said to be imported from Italy. It is called a Kissing Pipe.

The user has to just fill in the hashish mix in the front portion of the pipe which is around one inch deep. There is a cleaning stick inside made of stone. But instead of smoking it after being lit like other pipes, only a kiss will help the user inhale the smoke.

“This pipe alone could cost Rs8,000 to Rs10,000 and is used at rave parties in Europe and the US. It is most commonly found by foreign tourists coming to India. This shows they were not first time users and have a history of drug consumption,” said an intelligence officer from the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Though the five accused have been released on conditional bail, they will have to report to the ANC office whenever summoned.
