The 13-year-old Dinesh Majhi, who lost a leg in the July 13 blasts, was discharged from Saifee Hospital on Tuesday night.

He will now be staying at the residence of his employer Dattaguru Narvekar. Majhi worked as a hawker who sold chips at Opera House, and was among those injured in the blast there.
“The boy has been discharged. His uncle, Nitin, took him to Narvekar’s house. His uncle told us that he will be staying at Narvekar’s house for about a week,” said a spokesperson for Saifee Hospital.

His uncle has also collected the compensation from the state government on behalf of the boy, said the spokesperson.
Majhi, a resident of Baragobind village in Bihar came to the city around two months ago seeking employment. With no relatives in the city, Majhi had been alone during his treatment, until his uncle arrived in the city on July 22.

The hospital spokesperson said that Majhi has been undergoing physiotherapy for a week now and is able to walk on a pylon prosthesis, a metal rod fitted on his leg to help him walk temporarily.
