MNS finally opens account in Kalyan with two seats

MNS aspirant Prakash Bhoir from the Kalyan West assembly constituency won by 41,111 votes after defeating Rajendra Deolekar from the Shiv Sena, who got 35,562 votes.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has landed in the Thane district. Out of four assembly constituencies in Kalyan-Dombivli, two have been secured by the MNS, while the BJP and an independent candidate have bagged one each.

MNS aspirant Prakash Bhoir from the Kalyan West assembly constituency won by 41,111 votes after defeating Rajendra Deolekar from the Shiv Sena, who got 35,562 votes.

In the Kalyan Rural assembly constituency too, MNS candidate Ramesh Patil won by netting 51,149 votes. He was contesting against Shiv  Sena leader Ramesh Mhatre, who
secured 41,642. 

The Dombivli assembly constituency seat has been won by BJP candidate Ravindra Chavan, who polled 61,104 votes. Defeated MNS aspirant, Rajesh Kadam, got 48,777 votes. Chavan is a sitting corporator in the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation.
In Kalyan East, Ganpat Gaikwad, contesting as an independent, won 60,592 votes, and defeated Shiv Sena’s Pundalik Mhatre, who secured only 36,106 votes. Gaikwad is a local resident and a cable operator in Kalyan East.
