Married woman raped by 2 colleagues in Pune

A 28-year-old married woman working as a machine operator with an engineering company, has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that her two colleagues invited to a room under the garb of attending a birthday party and raped her.

The incident that took place in Hotel Tiranga on March 6 came to light on Wednesday when the victim lodged a complaint at Bharati Vidyapeeth police station against Rajendra Shivram Chavan (25), a resident of Mangadewadi and Monuddin alias Munna Shamsuddin Panawala (27), a resident of Sudarnagar. No arrests have been made yet.

Senior inspector Nagnath Wakude told DNA, “The victim and the suspects have been working together for the past two years. On March 6, Rajendra invited her for his birthday party in Hotel Tiranga on Satara Road where she went with her son. Munna took her son away while asking her to wait in a room where she was raped by the duo.
