Police force in Maharashtra will be modernised soon by making use of technology, minister of state for home Ramesh Bagave said here today.
All police stations will be connected through video conferencing which will make communication easy and effective. Besides, Globlal Positioning System(GPS) will be implemented at each police headquarter which will help the police superintendents control situation from the office, he said.
Bagave today visited Kolhapur police headquarter and had a meeting with senior officers.
Later, speaking to reporters he said that the police will constitute mohalla committees to maintain communal harmony in the society. The mohalla committees will be set up in sensitive areas, they would hold meetings with different sections of people to maintain communal harmony, he said.
