Maharashtra government declares public holiday on October 13

Mumbai: Maharashtra Government today declared October 13 as a public holiday in the state to enable people to vote in the Assembly elections.

Voting for polls to the 288-member assembly is scheduled on October 13. The holiday is being declared under provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, an official release said.
