Pune: I remember Krushnaa as a girl always brimming with energy. With her around, the time spent in college was always fun. She was always into extra-curricular activities, never to be fettered by the four walls of the classroom.

She is multifaceted and very creative, dancing and the arts being her forte. Friends and classmates knew Krushnaa to be extremely adventurous. "We are extremely proud of her and hope there is much more in store. Knowing Krushnaa, this story is far from over!" said Anandee Gorpade, a close friend and one of our classmates. "Back in school, she loved the outdoors and had it in her mind to live away from the city, close to nature."

Krushnaa likes taking up challenges. Getting sponsorship for the Everest expedition was not easy, but that didn't dampen her spirits. She proves the saying that dreams can be achieved if you are willing to walk the distance. She was never contented with the mundane. Today, she has risen above it all, literally.

Mathew was Krushnaa's classmate in school and is an intern with DNA Pune
