Tough luck, secondary school certificate (SSC) and higher secondary certificate (HSC) students. Quite a number of you will have to sit for your examination on March 12 at a centre not designated to you in your hall ticket.
About 4 lakh students from the Mumbai division will write HSC’s biology-II and SSC’s science papers, which have been given the same time slot, on that day. Given the space crunch, the state board has now decided to rejig exam centres.
RR Bhise, state board secretary of the Mumbai division, said, “With extra rooms we will manage everything. But, we may need to change a few centres.” No call was taken on which centres will see such a change till Friday evening.
A day ago, the proposal to shift students to other exam centres which can accommodate them in extra classrooms was only on the cards.
