The 35-year-old woman nabbed by the crime branch for robbing a senior citizen is a serial offender, said officials after two more people who were allegedly robbed by the woman approached the police.

Neetu Matkar alias Neetu Kakkar alias Reema Malhotra robbed the other two using the same modus operandi last year. A management graduate, she works as a senior SAP consultant in a leading IT firm in Vikhroli. She was arrested on Friday from Borivli.

A senior crime branch officer said, “One of the victims is from Thane while the other from western suburbs. We have asked them to approach the local police station and register a case against Matkar.”

He added, “They were also contacted by Matkar via the internet and she convinced them to meet at their place. She had spiked the duo’s drinks with sedatives and then fled with the loot.”

The police suspect Matkar to have robbed more people using the same modus operandi.
