Heavy rains again in Radhanagari Catchment area in Maharashtra

The catchment area of Radhanagari dam near here witnessed heavy rains today forcing the authorities to open five doors of the dam this afternoon.

About 70 families from Fejiwade village would be shifted again by district administration, officials said.

The rainfall recorded from Friday to Saturday morning 8am was as follows-(Figures in bracket are of the rain fall from June 1, 2010) Karveer 13.4 mm (535.6 mm), Kagal 10 mm (465), Panhala 17 mm (957), Shahuwadi 25 mm (1285), Hatkanangale 3.5 mm (417), Radhanagari 42 mm (1621), Bhudargad 21 mm (975), Gadhinglaj 15 mm (605), Aajara 23 mm (1256), Chandgad 55 mm (1615).
