The civic body's standing committee has demanded that the culprit behind the fire at Gold Mohur textile mill at Dadar in Central Mumbai be booked for culpable homicide.
Forensic reports have indicated that kerosene fuelled the blaze at the defunct mill on January 20. The fire brigade had tabled the report before the standing committee on Tuesday.
“This means there the mill was set ablaze intentionally,” said Ashish Shelar, BJP group leader. "The culprit should be prosecuted and charged under sections of culpable homicide," he demanded.
