The Jewellers association on Thursday staged protest to speed up the enquiry in murder of 38-year-old gold merchant and his employee on the Malad foot over-bridge amid peak-hour rush on Wednesday evening.

A resident of Krishna Height building in Raheja Colony at Malad (E), Paras Parmar had set out for delivering nearly 11-kilogram gold consignment along with his employee Hemant Mehta, 32. To return to Malad (E) after delivering a eight-kg consignment at Natraj Market in Malad (W), the duo chose to take the busy railway foot-over bridge, when they were accosted by four persons who had their faces covered.
