Give priority to safety norms, says Siddharth Nagtilak

Chief engineer of Pune zone of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MahaDiscom) Siddharth Nagtilak said that top most priority should be given to safety norms while working on electrical instruments.

He was speaking at an event organised by MahaDiscom on Wednesday at the head quarter of Pune Zone on account of ‘Safety Month’ being observed by it till December 15, according to the statement of the power utility.

Nagtilak said that effects of electrical accidents are disastrous.

“If an employee loses his life, his family becomes helpless and also, the power company suffers an irrecoverable loss,’’ he added.

He said sometimes, citizens, who are not cautious, face electrical accidents. Electrical engineers and common citizens should be cautious while dealing with electrical systems.

Superintending engineers Sudhir Vadodkar, Dilip Padalkar, Dattatray Koli, coordinator of the campaign AL Nagare, human resources manager Arjun Naik, acting executive engineer Manisha Prayag, deputy chief industrial relations officer Ramgopal Ahir and coordinator of training centre Manohar
