Gadchiroli: Six more held for Maoist attack on CRPF bus

Six more suspected Maoists, one of them a minor, have been arrested in connection with the landmine blast near here which had claimed the lives of 13 CRPF personnel last month, police said on Wednesday.

With this, the number of persons arrested for the March 27 Naxal attack on a police bus at Pustola village in Gadchiroli district has gone up to 11. Five persons were arrested a few days back.

Those arrested were identified as Motiram Naitam, Suresh Atla, Shalik Naitam, Parimal Mistry and Kamal Biswas.


The minor has been sent to a remand home, police added.

The CRPF men were travelling in a bus from Pushtola to Gatta village on operational duty when the blast took place.
