The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced 25% water cut in the western suburbs and some parts of city between April 26 and April 29.

The cut has been imposed because of the Maroshi-Ruparel water tunnel work at Andheri (East). "The work will begin at 9am on April 26 and will continue until 12 noon on April 29," an official from the corporation's hydraulic department said.

The areas affected will be all the entire suburbs (stretching from Bandra to Dahisar) and A, C, D, G-North, G-South, and B and E (partly).

"The areas in city where water supply is through direct connection are most likely to be affected during the period. We appeal to residents to use water sparingly in the three days," the official said.
