The dust hasn't settled on the Mira Road incest case, and another case has come to light. A 33-year old man allegedly raped his seven-year-old daughter and also let his friends rape her for money.

The victim's grandfather, Arunachalan Das, 65, lodged a complaint with the Charkop police on Tuesday afternoon. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested the girl's father, Chittish and two of his friends identified as Shabbir Sayyed and Ashok Naik under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act 1956, and under charges of rape. The police are on the lookout for four more persons.

"Das owned a garage in Andheri, where Chittish used to rape his daughter during his father's absence. The girl was just three and a half years old then. He sometimes took his daughter out at night and let his friends rape her, and took money from them," said Purshottam Gawande, senior inspector, Charkop police station.

Das, in his complaint, stated that Chittish had gone to Cambodia in 2000 where he got married to a Cambodian lady and had a daughter. In 2002, they divorced and he returned to India the following year, leaving his daughter with a missionary there.

Two years later, the girl was sent to India and Chittish took her to Das's house. "Das asked Chittish to leave. After four months he learnt that Chittish made his daughter beg and used the money for his addictions. Das then accepted them into his house," said Gawande.According to the police, Chittish had assaulted his mother as well, after which Das sent his wife to Kerala.

The girl had asked Das to take her into his custody, which he did and he later sent her to Kerala to live with her grandmother. There the child narrated the ordeal she was put through by her father. "The grandmother returned to the city along with the girl a few days ago. After deliberating over the issue, they decided to lodge a police complaint against their son," said Gawande.
