Leader of opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Eknath Khadse, today said that all the accused in the Adarsh housing scam should be named in the first information report (FIR) filed by CBI.

"The CBI officials have not spoken about the FIR but based on the media reports, 13 people have been named in it including former chief minister Ashok Chavan. Then why it did not name Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushilkumar Shinde who actually handled the file," Khadse said.

The other names include former Major General MM Wanchoo, the chief promoter of the society RC Thakur and Kaniahlal Gidwani.

It is also not clear if the names of suspended state information commissioner Ramanand Tiwari and human rights commission member Subhash Lalla who resigned in the same case have been named in the FIR, Khadse said.

"These two officials misused their positions and gave various approvals to the Adarsh society. There are other officials and politicians also linked to the case and the CBI should consider to include their names in the FIR," Khadse said.
