They may be leading busy professional and personal lives on weekdays, but this did not deter corporate employees from participating in the half marathon on Sunday.

A group of over 60 women employees from the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank Limited were among such groups of corporate employees who pitched in for the cause of creating awareness about the education of the girl child, the safety of women in public places and cervical cancer.

Around 10 employees from a fast food chain also participated.
“We did it to show our enthusiasm,” said Beena Desai,  part of a group of around 80 women distributors, employees, sales force and managers from Tupperware.
