The Pune Municipal Corporation general body on Friday passed a resolution to give a three-month extension to complete pending developmental works in the city.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) general body (GB) on Friday passed a resolution to give a three-month extension to complete pending developmental works in the city.
The resolution, passed unanimously, said the developmental work in the budget of 2010-2011, of which work orders would be given till March 31, 2011, should be allowed to be completed by June 15, 2011.
The resolution was put up by 39 corporators, including deputy mayor, Prasanna Jagtap. The corporators belonging to all parties had sent a letter on February 24, 2011 for the proposal. A supplementary was suggested by BJP corporators. The standing committee had passed the resolution on February 25.
With municipal election due in February next year, political parties and corporators want to get the developmental work done in their respective areas in this election year.
