Mumbai: A dead lizard was found in shira, a sweet dish, offered to students in a municipal corporation in Dombivli as a part of the Nutritious Food for Students scheme of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) on Wednesday. Though no casualty was reported, two students were found throwing up after consuming the shira.

According to KDMC officials, the incident came to light on Thursday, when parents of Ganesh Jadhav a grade VI student of school number 22 at Dombivli, complained that portions of lizard were found in the shira distributed in the school the previous evening, some ofwhich the student carried home.
