Congress workers hold rally to laud Indian cricket players

Shouting slogans like "India are kings of cricket", Congress workers today organised a victory rally in suburban Mulund.

A replica of the World Cup which India won last night, was placed on a decorated truck.

The rally, organised by Congress MLC C Sapra, started from Gavanpada.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, an avid cricket lover, said it was the "first time one saw people dancing with such abandon after this World Cup victory."

"My salutations to the cricketers who gave us such delight," Thackeray said in a congratulatory message.
