The Dr Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center (ACEC) has invited applications from students belonging to weaker sections of society to join the centre for a pre-coaching programme for civil services examination to be held in 2012.

The Dr Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center (ACEC) of the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada) has invited applications from students belonging to weaker sections of society to join the centre for a pre-coaching programme for civil services examination to be held in 2012.
The entrance test will be conducted on October 2 this year at six centres in the state. It will include one objective type paper of 200 marks with two sections like general studies & CSAT, on the pattern of UPSC preliminary exam of 2011.
A graduate from a recognised university in Maharashtra is eligible for the coaching programme. The entrance examination will be conducted in association with the Centre for Talent Search and Excellence (CTSE) of the Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune.
The ACEC, which was set up in July 2006, under the Schedule Caste Sub Plan, is funded by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute and the state minority commission, to provide coaching for civil services examinations to the youth of Maharashtra, especially from deprived sections of society.
Yashada provides facilities like free accommodation, stipend (per month), library / reading hall, subject-wise guidance and special workshops to 60 students every year.
