CMAT gets off to smooth start

The much-debated Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) that started on Monday turned out to be a smooth affair without any technical glitches.

Soniya Haldiya, a third-year BMS student of RA Podar College who appeared for the CMAT on day one, said, “The testing experience was very nice. The entire process from entering the testing centre to coming out was very smooth.” Another candidate spoke to DNA on condition of anonymity, “The test was not very easy or tough. I was glad it went smooth because I was anticipating technical problems since this is the first year.”

 Sai, Kumar, director, TIME coaching institute for management entrance tests, said, “The test was very good in terms of its standard of questions. English and General Knowledge were the toughest of all sections. Some questions were of GMAT standards.”

SS Mantha, chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which has conducted the exam, said, “We have not recorded any technical glitches from anywhere in the country. The results will be out on March 11.
