"Chidambaram would be coming for one of the functions organised by the state government on the first anniversary of the attacks," an official from Home Department told PTI.

Various programmes have been planned from 26th to 29th of November, in which police, NGOs and students would participate, the official said.

Caretaker chief minister Ashok Chavan announced yesterday that the police force would showcase its newly acquired modern weaponry in public to instill confidence in the citizens that administration would face 26/11-like crisis in a better way.

Chavan also has asked Mumbai police commissioner D Sivanandan and home secretary Chandra Iyengar to organise commemoration programmes.
