Chaturvedi, Anees, Bang, among prominent losers in Vidarbha

Former Maharashtra Textile minister Satish Chaturvedi (Nagpur-East), incumbant Textile minister Anees Ahmad, (Nagpur-West) Food and Civil Supplies minister Ramesh Bang (NCP), along with former minister of state Dharamrao Baba Atram are the prominent losers from the Vidarbha region.

Rahul Pugalia son of former Chandrapur MP Naresh Pugalia, former Congress mayor Vikas Thakre (Nagpur South-West), Shekhar Shende, son of outgoing deputy speaker Pramod Shende (Wardha), all from Congress have lost the 2009 elections.

Ashish Deshmukh, son of former MPCC chief Ranjeet Deshmukh (Saoner) and incumbant deputy mayor Kishore Kumeria (South) of Shiv Sena could not make to the Lower house during their electoral debut.

Vice chairperson of Vidarbha Irrigation Development Board, Sulbha Khodke of NCP (Badnera) also lost.
