Bandra cops mute Shahid Kapoor's birthday bash

Police raided actor Shahid Kapoor’s birthday party at a restaurant and bar in the early hours of Thursday and slapped a fine of Rs5,000 on its manager for allowing the bash to go on beyond the legal time of 1.30 am. The raid was carried out around 2am.

Kapoor was there with his family and 50 friends, including actors Amrita Rao and Archana Puran Singh.

Prakash George, senior inspector, Bandra police station, said: “Kapoor’s birthday party was celebrated in Esco bar and restaurant in Bandra (West). While our patrolling van was passing from there, we saw many press vehicles near the restaurant. We got suspicious. When our officer entered the restaurant, he found the party was on.”
