Auto driver attacked by two people in Mumbai

A Malwani based autorickshaw driver was attacked by two people with a chopper and is recuperating in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Bhagwati hopsital.

A Malwani based autorickshaw driver was attacked by two people with a chopper and is recuperating in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Bhagwati hopsital.

The incident took place during the wee hours of Wednesday morning after he rescued a girl who was being physically abused by her boyfriend. Malwani police have arrested one of the accused Imtyaz Ayaz Memon and are trying to trace the other.

According to police, the victim, Ramesh Yadav, 26, was sleeping when heard a scream of the girl. He found that Memon was beating a girl.

“The girl was crying so he pushed the accused away. He then threatened Yadav, “said a police officer of the Malwani police station.

“Yadav then went back to sleep. Memon returned along with his friend with choppers. They found Yadav fast asleep and they stabbed his abdomen, head and chest even before he could wake up” said police.

After that they ran away. Yadav was rushed to the Bhagwati Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU and is currently recuperating.

The Malwani police were informed about incident and they have registered a complaint and arrested one person and are trying to trace the other culprit.
