Another MNS move to counter Shiv Sena

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has floated an organisation to counter its rival Shiv Sena’s strength in the white collar working class. Maharashtra Navnirman Janadhikar Samiti (MNJS) has been established on the lines of Shiv Sena’s Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti (SLS).

“MNJS will work for the welfare of employees in government and semi-government establishments,” said its president Shirish Parkar. “We will look into the problems faced by the employees. Besides, we will also have a check on recruitment in the government establishments to ensure that the locals get their legitimate rights,” he said.

The SLS is also working in the same field since its foundation in 1972.
