Ajit Parasnis transfers 344 inspectors

As many as 344 officers of the rank of inspectors across the state, including 10 from the Mumbai railway police commissionerate, were transferred by DGP Ajit Parasnis on Thursday.

As many as 344 officers of the rank of inspectors across the state, including 10 from the Mumbai railway police commissionerate, were transferred by DGP Ajit Parasnis on Thursday.

Those from the Mumbai railway police who have been transferred to the state CID are: inspectors Sambhaji Korde and Balkrishna Mane (Kurla railway police station), Raghunath Kokate (Mumbai Central railway police station) and Udaykumar Rajeshirke (Borivli railway police station). Those transferred to Mumbai city are: senior inspector Ashok Survegandh (railway crime branch), inspector Prakash Mansukh (Dadar railway police station), Rajeev Sawant (Bandra railway police station) and Pandarinath Yeram (CST railway police station). Senior inspector Bharat Kumar Rane was shifted from Mumbai Central police station to DG control at the state police headquarters, while senior inspector Dilip Gore was moved from the Kurla railway police station to the ACB.

Encounter specialist Avinash Sawant of the Thane rural police has been moved to Mumbai.
