Ahead of mayor elections, Akhil Bhartiya Sena (ABS) corporator Geeta Gawli met Nitesh Rane, son of Narayan Rane.
While, Geeta downplayed the meeting as "personal", it has sparked rumours of ABS support to Congress candidate in the Mayor elections to be held on December 1.
"I had met him (Nitesh) today. But it was a personal meeting," Geeta told PTI here. The ABS supports the Shiv Sena in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The total strength of the Sena-BJP combine in the BMC is 115, which include two ABS corporators and three Independents. The Congress-led Opposition has 110 seats.
