Continuing their efforts to bring cousins Uddhav and Raj Thackeray together to keep Marathi votes intact, Shiv Sena activists have organised a peace march tomorrow.
Sena activists launched a campaign 'Mazi Chalval, Me Maharashtracha' in May to unite the warring siblings, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj.
"We have organised a silent march tomorrow morning from statue of Maasaheb, (wife of Sena chief Bal Thackeray) at Shivaji Park in central Mumbai via Raj's residence to Matoshtree, (Thackeray residence in suburban Bandra)," coordinator of the movement, Satish Valanju said.
They have written letters to both the cousins about the march and expect to meet them. A memorandum has also been prepared to give to Uddhav and Raj, he said.
The activists have convened meetings in various cities, carried out signature campaigns and also launched a website to promote their agenda in past three months.
On query about response to the march, Valanju said, "we are confident that people who will be participating in the march would have the genuine feeling about Uddhav and Raj, so the number doesn't matter."
Observing division of Marathi votes between Sena and MNS during Lok Sabha and Assembly polls last year, the campaign was launched by Sena activists.
