The prosecution in the 7/11 serial train blasts case today examined an Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer, who had recorded the statement of key accused Faisal Shaikh.
The witness supported the prosecution's case and stated how Shaikh had admitted to his role in the blasts and had revealed the role of other arrested accused in the case.
The ED officer had interrogated Faisal over Hawala money used in the blasts conspiracy.
According to the prosecution, Faisal handled the logistics and finance for terror group Laskhar-e-Toiba's operations in western region of India.
The officer today told the court that Faisal in his statement, which was recorded in August 2006, had admitted that he had arranged finances and sent Muslim youths to Pakistan's Muzaffarabad for arms training.
Seven bombs in first class coaches of Mumbai's trains exploded on July 11, 2006, killing 188 people. The trial is underway against 13 alleged operatives of LeT and banned outfit SIMI.
