The crime branch on Tuesday arrested four members of the Ravi Pujari gang for allegedly killing two engineers at a construction site in Andheri in February. They were also involved in another firing incident in February (at a builder's Vashi office).

They have been identified as Mohsin Wali Mohammad Khan, 42, a native of Uttar Pradesh; Raju Jadhav, 32, a sweeper in the Navi Mumbai civic body; Yogesh Waghmare, 27, a painter; and Khajappa Nagore, 27, who works at Sushil Video Parlour in Rabale.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police inspectors Arun Chavan, Ramesh Mahale, Sripad Kale, Nandkumar Gopale and assistant commissioner Rajdoot Rupawate arrested the four at a bar in Navi Mumbai.

Roy said: “On February 28, two people had shot site supervisor Sanjay Phatak in the stomach at Shah Builders' Vashi office. On February 15, two people killed two site engineers at the site office of a builder in Andheri. In both cases, the men left behind a chit of paper with Pujari's number on it.”
