4 killed, 7 injured as vehicles collide near Nagpur

Four persons were killed and seven others were injured when the passenger vehicle, in which they were travelling, had a head-on collision with a speeding truck early this morning, police said.

The incident happened at Tarodi village near Mouda, about 40km from Nagpur, they added.

According to police, the deceased, all of whom were labourers, were returning from Balaghat after attending a marriage function. The four passengers were killed on the spot when their vehicle collided with the truck coming from opposite direction.

The deceased were identified as Komal Sahu, 40, Roshan Khare, 45, Ghanshyam Ravre and one Govardhan, police said adding that the seven injured were rushed to the state-run Mayo General Hospital in Nagpur.
