Mumbai: Maharashtra Government plans to organise series of programmes to commemorate the first anniversary of26/11 terror attacks on the country's financial capital.
Caretaker chief minister Ashok Chavan said that the police force would showcase its newly acquired modern weaponry in public to instill faith in the citizens that administration would face 26/11 like crisis in a better way.
Chavan, who chaired a meeting on law and order, asked Mumbai Police Commissioner D Sivanandan and Home secretary Chandra Iyengar to organise 26/11 terror attacks commemoration programmes on the first anniversary of the worst ever terror strikes on the country's financial capital.
Chavan also reviewed the security related policies and programmes initiated by the state government in the last one year. He asked the police top brass to monitor implementation of the decisions taken.
