There seems to be no let up in the suicide spree by youth as two more college students killed themselves on Monday.
According to the police, Ashwin Omprakash Shukla, an SYBSc student of Viva college in Virar, hangedhimself in his aunt’s residence in Moregaon village in Nalasopara.His parents are residents of Allahabad. Ashwin’s aunt was away when he took the extreme step.
“We have sent the body for post mortem and informed his parents. The reason of his act is still not known,” said Pradeep Mane, SPI of Nalasopara police station.
In Kurla, 17-year-old Rishim Kasbe committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence. A resident of Wadala, Rishim was a student of Ambedkar College. The matter came to light around 8pm when his mother returned home from work.
According to police, the only child of the family, Rishim had gone to a friend’s place to watch a movie on Sunday night. He returned home on Monday afternoon. He collected the keys to the house from his neighbour.
His mother had to break open the door and found Rishim hanging from the ceiling.Rishim’s parents have claimed that he was not under any kind of pressure.The Nehru Nagar police have registered a case.
