Mumbai: Two 17-year-old boys were arrested on Monday by officers of the Nirmal Nagar police station for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl. They all stay in the Shantilal Compound slum in Santa Cruz (East).
Police said the two picked up the victim around 10.30 pm on Sunday, while she was playing outside her house and took her inside the house of one of them and raped her. The house was empty because his family had gone out for some work.
"The victim was also alone at her home, as her parents had gone out," said senior inspector Prashant Bagade ofthe NirmalNagar police station. "They then raped and threatened her if she told anyone about it," said Bagade.
When the girl's mother came home, the girl was bleeding. Then she narrated her mother about theincident. After that the victim's mother lodged a complaint with the police.
"The girl was taken to VN Desai Hospital in Santa Cruz (East) and now she is under treatment. Both the accused were arrested and booked under charges of kidnap, threat and rape," said Bagade.
