Two friends of Zishan Khan have decided not to accept postings in Hari Krishna Export Pvt Ltd, if offered. Both of them, who fit "non-Muslim" criteria, said they won't be joining the company after witnessing its attitude towards religion and some policies of the company.
They are Mukundmani Pandey (24), a resident of Panvel, and Omkar Bansode (22), a resident of Vashi, both of who completed their MBA from DY Patil institute with Khan. All three specialised in international business.
"The first reason is obviously because they turned down our friend. Other reasons are some of their policies, such as compulsion of signing a five-year bond, and work hours, among others," said Pandey.
Bansode, who too has made up his mind not to join the company, said, "It is a wrong thing. We are a democratic country and youths should not be discriminated against based on religion."
"I and Mukund went to tell them at their BKC office that this is wrong, but were not allowed to go up. They called me today for an interview, but I am not interested anymore," he added.
