Nikhar Sahu probably jumped with the motive of committing suicide but was found alive three hours later in Dadar's Chaitya Bhoomi.

Nikhar Sahu, the 21-year-old youth who jumped off Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL) on Thursday is in critical condition and is being treated at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Sion. He probably jumped with the motive of committing suicide but was found alive three hours later in Dadar's Chaitya Bhoomi.
Sahu, a resident of Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh. Dr Jayshree Mondkar, Medical Superintendent of Sion hospital, said, "He is being treated in the Intermediate Respiratory Care Unit (IRCU) ward and is on ventilator support. We are working on his recovery." When Sahu was brought to the hospital, he was suffering from breathlessness.
Sahu had taken a cab from Bandra around 11 am on Thursday and had stopped the cab in the middle of sea link to click a selfie. Around 4 pm, Sahu was found floating in the waters near Chaitya Bhoomi by fishermen.
Gajanan Desurkar, Senior Police Inspector of Worli Police Station said, "We were not able to record his statement today since he is still unconscious. We have informed his family members. They are coming from UP. We will be able to get more information once his family arrives."
