According to the police, on Monday morning, body of one Chandan Yadav, who is into marble polishing business, was found at his residence at New Collector's Compound, Gate No 6 in Malwani after locals encountered foul smell emanating from a room.
Malwani police have arrested a woman who allegedly conspired with her husband to eliminate her paramour. The police are on the lookout for woman's husband, who is on the run. The arrested woman has been identified as Sairabano alias Sairabano Anil Pandey.
According to the police, on Monday morning, body of one Chandan Yadav, who is into marble polishing business, was found at his residence at New Collector's Compound, Gate No 6 in Malwani after locals encountered foul smell emanating from a room.
"We broke the door lock and spotted a body. It appeared Yadav was murdered two days ago. His throat was slit and also had injury marks on head. Nothing was stolen from house and hence robbery does not seem to be the motive," said an officer from Malwani police station.
He added, probe revealed that Yadav was having an affair with neighbour Sairabano, who stays with her husband Anil and two children.
"Sairabano had come in contact with Yadav five months ago and soon they started having an affair and were also having physical relationship. Since Pandey was jobless, Yadav used to help Sairabano financially. Pandey had recently caught Yadav and Sairabano red-handed and was furious. Meanwhile, Yadav had also developed closeness with another girl in the neighbourhood and Sairabano was unhappy about it," said the officer.
This would often result in quarrel between Sairabano and Yadav. "Sairabano then conspired with her husband to eliminate Yadav. As per the plan, Pandey called Yadav at his home on Saturday over drinks. After few drinks, Pandey hit a beer bottle on Yadav's head and then strangulated him. Sairabano was present at home at the time of the incident. In order to avoid suspicion, Pandey kept Yadav's body at latter's residence and locked it from outside. Sairabano was nabbed on Monday night, while Pandey is still on the run. We have informed Yadav's relatives in Jharkhand about his death," the officer said.
