Woman catches chain snatcher in Kandivli

With the help of traffic constables, a woman managed to nab a chain snatcher in Kandivli East on Sunday. The incident happened near Saidham Temple off the Western Express Highway when the woman, along with her two friends, got down from a car.

As she and her friends started walking, two bike-borne men came close to them and the pillion rider pulled the chain of the victim. She immediately grabbed him by the arm and alerted traffic constables. The traffic cops then chased down the accused, Aziz Sayyed, and handed him over to the Samta Nagar police. However, his accomplice managed to flee on the bike.

In another incident, two bike-borne men robbed a 53-year-old woman, Mohani Pujari, of her ornaments worth Rs1 lakh in Borivli West on Sunday. The incident took place on RM Bhattad Marg around 4 pm when the woman was walking down the road. The accused duo fled after snatching the ornaments.
