A 35 year old woman was granted with a relief by the Family court from her 32 year old husband, who kept on threatening her that his creditors will sell her to recover the loan amount which the husband had availed from the creditors. The court presided over by judge Dr Laxmi Rao said that it was proved by the wife that she was subjected to immense cruelty in the hands of her husband.
A 35 year old woman was granted with a relief by the Family court from her 32 year old husband, who kept on threatening her that his creditors will sell her to recover the loan amount which the husband had availed from the creditors. The court presided over by judge Dr Laxmi Rao said that it was proved by the wife that she was subjected to immense cruelty in the hands of her husband.
As per the order copy, the couple tied their wedding knot in the year 2006. The couple met each other through matrimonial website. The woman in her petition claims that she had informed the boy as well as his family members of she being a divorcee. Rather the boy's family had accepted it and wanted to set an example in the society by getting their boy married with the complainant.
Few days after the marriage went smooth, however problems arose right from the next year of the marriage, when the women had to abort her child, due to ectopic pregnancy. Medical reports claimed that the medical complication occurred due to lack of nutrition in diet.
Wife claimed that her husband kept on demanded money from her parents, refusing which he slapped her. Rather the wife in her petition claimed that she is residing separate from the year 2008.
The wife claimed that the husband kept on demanding money from her parents, rather kept on threatening her and her parents that the creditors would directly come to her parents house and collect all the loan money which he had sought from the creditors. "I was also threatened that if my parents fail to pay the money to the credits, the men will take me along with them, would sell me into prostitution and would recover their loan money,"claimed the wife in her petition.
The advocate appearing on behalf of husband, however did not counter the allegations leveled by wife against her estranged husband.
Rather the husband claimed that his wife had cheated him as she, in her matrimonial website's details did not mention that she was a divorcee and that they were rather cheated by the woman.
The wife however, in her evidence examined a friend, who in her statement informed the court that she was the one who had informed the husband and his family of the woman being a divorcee. Rather the witness claimed that the family of the boy decided to approve the woman's proposal in order to set an example in the society.
The court after going through the evidence produced by the woman held that she was successful in proving that she was subjected to immense cruelty.
