WhatsApp helps in locating missing teenager from Borivali

Fourteen-year-old girl from Borivali (W) who went missing on Monday, March 30, was reunited with her family on Tuesday. Sakshi Desai, resident of Madhav Apartment, Kastur Park, Borivali (W), had gone missing at around 3.30 pm on Monday. A case in this regard was soon registered with the Borivali Police Station.

Manish Desai, Sakshi's father, speaking with iamin said, "We not just registered a case with the police but also shared the information on social networks like Facebook and WhatsApp."

The message circulated by Sakshi's family members stated that she was undergoing a psychiatric treatment.

Vinod Jaiswal, who helped Sakshi to reunite with her family, said, "I found her at Goregaon Railway Station. I recalled a message that I received on WhatsApp about her. As soon as I saw her, I called her father, whose contact details were mentioned in the message that was being circulated."

Mitesh Desai, Sakshi's brother, said that they are thankful to WhatsApp users in helping him find his sibling.
